Field Of Research:

Gene Expression and DNA Repair

Research Interest:

Expression of mRNA in eukaryotic cells requires several dozen transcription factors in addition to RNA polymerase II. Our work is focused on discovering the interactions between factors and assigning functions to individual proteins. In addition, we are exploring how specific modifications, such as 5' mRNA capping, are targeted to transcripts produced by RNA polymerase II.
