by The Pew Charitable Trusts in
1989, the Pew Health Professions Commission has developed recommendations
for change in health professions education and advocated the development
of policies which respond to the nation's health care workforce needs.
The Commission has initiated and sustained what many believe to be a national
movement for change in health professions education and workforce policy.
