Competency | Training
The Network is an education and training
program focused on reducing health disparities for diverse patient
populations, improving health care practice and fostering organizational
change. Current efforts emphasize educational programs, consultation
and training in cultural competency for health care systems, clinicians
and educators as well as quality improvement education for a broad
array of health professionals.
LEAD Program
The LEAD program is a three-year initiative funded by The California
Endowment to address the quality of healthcare for multicultural populations
in California public hospitals. Four public hospitals will participate
in a year-long program to develop organizational strategies and new
culturally responsive programs to improve care. For more information

Pharmacy Workshop
The UCSF School of Pharmacy and Center for the Health Professions
are co-sponsoring a two-day training for faculty in colleges and
schools of pharmacy entitled: Incorporating Cultural Competency
into Pharmacy Education: A Pharmacy Faculty Workshop, June

As part of the OMH State Partnership Initiative, the Center has
outlined a cultural competency curriculum for public health staff.
